Ammonium chloride is a by-product of soda ash in soda ash industry. It can be divided into agricultural ammonium chloride and industrial ammonium chloride. It has different uses according to different product classification.

Agricultural ammonium chloride is a high-efficiency and high-quality nitrogen fertilizer with a nitrogen content of about 25%. More than 90% of the total ammonium chloride output in China is used as chemical fertilizer, and less than 10% of the remaining ammonium chloride is used in industry. Among them, about 90% of the agricultural ammonium chloride is used for the production of compound fertilizer, and the rest of the farmland is directly applied.
